Why did my voting location change?

Virginia counties are required every 10 years to redistrict according to the census and state redistricting. Redistricting is a bi-partisan process intended to ensure that populations are represented fairly as they grow.

The state underwent redistricting this year.  Louisa County has moved from the 7th Congressional District to the 5th Congressional District. Redistricting occurs every 10 years and new boundaries are determined for each district by the Board of Supervisors. This includes voting location changes as well.
