Roadside Clean-Up Efforts

Litter-Pickup

VDOT has a saying, "Virginia is For Lovers, Not Litter." Louisa County is known for its beauty, and many in our community are actively working to clean up roadside trash that detracts from the natural scenery. We applaud these residents for their efforts, and for those interested in participating, we invite you to:

  1. Take the "No love for litter" pledge, and ask others to do the same.

  2. Look for a group accepting new volunteers for a clean-up. See the list below:

3. Consider Adopting a Highway. VDOT will provide trash bags and safety vests, and even a highway sign to recognize your group. Please watch the Adopt-a-Highway volunteer guideline video below for important safety information.
