Board of Equalization Public Hearing








          Public notice is hereby given that the Board of Equalization for Louisa County will meet for the purpose of hearing complaints of inequalities.  Upon hearing such complaints, the Board will give consideration and INCREASE, DECREASE, OR AFFIRM such real estate assessments.  The taxpayer or agent must prove that the property is not uniform with other similar properties or prove that the property is assessed in excess of its fair market value.


            To appear before the Board of Equalization, please call (540)967-3450, between the hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm to request an application or a link will be added on the County website for your convenience.


            All property owners wishing to be heard must file an application for a hearing on or before May 14, 2021.  Any property owner who fails to meet the filing deadline will not be heard pursuant to Section 70-118 of the Louisa County Code.
