Aikido is a Japanese martial art focused on creating harmony out of conflict. Within youth, Aikido training helps develop participant’s ability to make positive choices, build confidence and achieve inner-calmness. Through Aikido, youth learn to make positive choices about the way they treat others, the way they treat themselves, and the way they wish to be treated by others. Open to children ages 6 through 12, Aikido is an on-going program which will continue throughout the year. Participants have the opportunity to test for a belt exam promotion after reaching the required benchmarks. Instructor Jeff Martin has over 23 years of experience and received his Shidoin certificate in 2014. Family discounts are available. There will be no class on January 20th and Spring Break April 6th and April 8th.
