Do you have a passion for gardening? Would you like to learn more about plants and trees that thrive in Louisa weather conditions? In this workshop series, we will look at the many aspects of gardening, ranging from the beauty to the bounty. Join Louisa resident Wayne Boyland from Louisa Beauty & Bounty as he covers everything from planting vegetables to planting flowers and trees. He comes to us with over 25 years of experience as nurseryman, horticulturist and arborist and is excited to share his love of plants with you! Each date will cover a different subject and guest speakers will also share their knowledge as well. The June 4th class will be held at Black Dog Produce where Steve Philips will cover everything you need to know about planting and harvesting tomatoes, including grafting. You will also be able to purchase pick-your-own veggies that day. Other subjects covered in class will be growing for pollinators, birds, and butterflies, proper care of your trees and shrubs, composting, and combating invasive plants. So bring all of your plant-related questions. There will even be door prizes and giveaways! Sign up for all 5 classes by May 18th and receive $10 off!
