We welcome new students, individuals and families from all walks of life to join our Traditional Okinawan Karate & Self-Defense program. Students will learn a well-developed and organized style of Okinawan Karate: Shinki-Ryu (translation: Humble Spirit Way) in a fun, encouraging, motivating and non-competitive atmosphere.
Lead instructor, Christopher “Chief” Spare, 6th Degree/Kyoshi, and his instructors, train students in the techniques of this unique ancient Martial Art that can be applied to real world situations today, while building their self-confidence, self-discipline, physical strength and fitness, and overall mental toughness. Chris served honorable in the US Marine Corps, and has 30 year of law enforcement experience.
Students will learn self-defense through kata and techniques in a variety of ways. Have fun learning martial arts in a non-competitive, high-energy environment. Open to participants age 6 and older and all levels of students, family participation is encouraged.
