Heritage Skills Workshop: Basket Making

(2 day workshop)

In this two part class you will make a handy little basket to help keep you organized in the kitchen, bath, office...just about anywhere. This basket is ideal for passing the bread or rolls, placing by the door for your keys and mail, or keeping by your chair to hold your remotes and electronics. If you are new to basket weaving, this is a great basket to begin with. Learn the basics including twining, creating a closed weave base and cross lashing the rim. Several different colors of reed for the stripes will be available. Your final product will measure 10” x 6” x 3.5” and all materials needed will be provided.
