Code and Erosion & Sediment (E&S) Enforcement

The Code Enforcement Division of Community Development is devoted to providing its citizens with a healthy, safe, and enjoyable county in which to live and work. It is the responsibility of the code enforcement division to enforce the Louisa County Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance and other regulations contained within the County Code. Code Enforcement activities include zoning setbacks; erosion and sediment control inspections, litter/debris, enforcement of the Inoperable Vehicle Ordinance and other code complaints. Zoning Enforcement is also responsible for monitoring biosolid activities within the County.

  • Citizen Request for Assistance Form
  • Land Disturber Frequently Asked Questions
            In order to describe the land disturbing permit process, the Community Development Department has put together some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
  • Home Occupation Applications
            Required for all Class A and Class B home occupations (Class B also requires a CUP).
  • CUP Application (Land Use Amendment Application)
            Used for: Rezonings, Conditional Use Permits, Special Exceptions and Variances
            All applications require a pre-application meeting.
            Applications cannot be accepted unless complete and with fees.
            Reprint page 5 (adjacent owner info) as needed.
  • Storm Water Management Permit
            Now required for Land Disturbing Activities over an acre, or anything in a subdivision.
