Modern Western Square Dance Lessons

Have you been looking for a place to learn how to square dance? Well Louisa residents now have a location less than 45 minutes away! Learn the State Folk Dance of Virginia while exercising your mind and body! Studies have shown that square dancing relieves stress, builds friendships, and improves brain power. These lessons are great for couples, but singles, empty nesters, home schoolers, and anyone wanting to learn certainly do NOT need to have a partner to attend! Anyone ages 8 and older are welcome. Come to a free open house on Monday, September 11th and Monday, September 18th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Fluvanna High School, 1918 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Palmyra to learn all about this nonprofit organization, the Fluvanna Flutterwheels Square Dance Club. Actual lessons will begin on September 25th and continue each Monday through the end of the year; 15 lessons are only $50! The Fluvanna Flutterwheels were founded in 1980 and have a variety of members from all walks of life: young and old, retired and working, farmers and city folk; people who have never danced before and those whom dancing has been a lifelong passion.
