Louisa County Parks, Recreation and Tourism's Christmas Festival and Parade are two Holiday traditions that you always look forward to attending! This year, LCPRT is going all out in celebration of Louisa County’s 275th Birthday! The festival, which is held from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Courthouse Square is a great place to do some Christmas shopping, enjoy a cup of cocoa, and get into the Christmas spirit. Our vendors have all kinds of gift ideas; all types of Christmas wares, woodcrafts, jewelry, Tupperware, Scentsy, Pampered Chef, wreaths, and quilts are just some of the items that have been for sale in years past. Admission is free for all shoppers.
At 2:00 p.m., LCPRT’s parade Celebrating 275 Years of Louisa History starts at Meadow Avenue and travels down Main Street to Rosewood Avenue, then to the County Administrative Building on Woolfolk Avenue. Whether you have a float, are part of a marching group, or have some fancy antique car, it’s free to enter the parade, but you MUST pre-register. You can download a registration form from our website or call our office and we can send you one.
There are always lots of spectators at this event. Come check out all the vendors, then get your lawn chair and find your spot along the parade route to witness this wonderful community event.
